Many owners spend hours each week on work that doesn’t need their judgment. The trick is knowing which tasks can safely move to a remote team.
Tasks that move easily
Work that follows clear steps is the best place to begin. Common examples include email and calendar management, data entry, appointment setting, document filing, and routine customer replies.
Tasks that need a little setup
Lead follow-up, CRM updates, invoicing support, and recurring reports also transfer well, as long as you share your tools and a few examples of how you like them done. A short written checklist is usually enough.
Tasks to keep for now
Keep decisions that depend on your personal relationships, pricing authority, or legal responsibility. You can widen the scope later once you trust the process.
A simple test
Ask three questions about any task. Does it repeat? Can it be written as steps? Does it need your personal judgment? If it repeats, can be written down, and doesn’t need you, it’s a strong candidate.
